Gorge Athletic Clubs Group Exercise
Group fitness classes at the Gorge Athletic Clubs are designed for all ages and fitness levels; led by an amazing group of certified instructors. The fun, dynamic, cardio fitness workouts at our athletic club are sure to meet your every need. You will find a wide variety of fun, challenging, cardio fitness workouts for all fitness levels at our health club. Designed to empower and strengthen both your body and mind, you’ll enjoy a serious dose of fun in any one of our group fitness classes or cardio fitness workouts.
At the Gorge Athletic Clubs Yoga Studios you will find a place where all are welcome no matter what physical shape you think you might be. Our instructors are trained to guide you through poses, breathing techniques and meditation. This is the place to be, a place to come and stretch your body, ease your mind and enrich your soul.

We want to offer a wide variety of classes to our members, however if attendance remains below 5 for a period of 3 weeks; we will cancel, change times or change the day the class is offered.
A.M. Cycle classes will be cancelled by 8:00pm the evening before if less than 6 of the bikes are reserved. Noon/Evening Cycle Classes will be cancelled 3 hours before the start of class if less than 6 bikes are reserved.
Punch passes available for the Flex & Stretch Studio in The Dalles and Hood River Yoga classes: $100/10 classes.
No reservations required to attend. Drop-in attendees welcome with a day pass purchase.
GAC Group Exercise Class Descriptions
Group Cycling encourages intervals of anaerobic training to challenge the most fit. However, everyone is encouraged to work within his or her own fitness level. Truly a class that everyone can enjoy.
Drop in for this intense 15-minute torso training class, which is meant to compliment the workout of your choice. It will focus on abdominal and lower back strengthening.
The format and instructor varies each week.
Sr. Strength & movement
Designed for those over 60, this 45-min class includes a cardio warm up, balance and flexibility exercises, strength moves and cool down stretches. Can be adapted to all levels of fitness and abilities.
Non-Choreographed class, strength and cardio intervals.
Zumba is the most fun you can have sweating! An hour cardio class of latin and international infused music with heart-pumping dance moves. Come join the party!
PiYo is a total-body fitness system designed to whip you into shape from head to toe. It combines the practices of Pilates and yoga to help you build strength, lose weight, increase flexibility and have a great time doing it.
Building strength, coordination, awareness, and balance for greater ease and enjoyment of day-to-day and recreational activities. Emphasis on practicing sustainable biomechanics and body awareness so you can reduce acute and cumulative orthopedic injury and build strength and mobility to enjoy a life-long active lifestyle. Each exercise is designed to build strength, improve balance and core strength, and reinforce sustainable movement patterns… plus we have a lot of fun! Each class incorporates circuit training and high intensity interval training. Accessible and challenging for all ages, genders, fitness, mobility and experience levels.
GAC Yoga Studio Class Descriptions
YogaFit is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of Hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format Vinyasa Yoga/Flow Yoga – a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, it is sometimes confused with “power yoga“. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike.
Buti, in Indian Marathi, means "the cure to something hidden or kept secret."
This practice is a high-intensity fusion of yoga, tribal dance, and plyometrics. Classes combine cardio, strength training and flexibility in one seamless format. Buti creates a strong, empowered group that resembles a tribe.
An Ashtanga/Vinyasa style of Yoga that places emphasis on strength, flexibility, and balance, as well as nurtures the desire for self-discipline, and has the same potential of emulating a rigorous full body workout using only the weight of your body, your breath, and gravity.
A basic yoga class designed for all levels. Participants are encouraged to work at their own level in this one hour class.
A dynamic class of movement to integrate mind, body, spirit. The focus is to build inner awareness and outer power.
A general yoga class, which focuses on the precision of poses and the individual body. The Hatha style here is slower to gain both flexibility and core strength.
